Terms and Conditions for the Critical Care Obstetrics Academy

Welcome to the Critical Care Obstetrics Academy. By enrolling in our courses, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

  1. Enrollment and Access
  • Eligibility: Enrollment is open to individuals and institutions involved in the care of obstetric patients, including medical, nursing, and allied health students and professionals.
  • Access Duration: Once the course is purchased, you will have access to the course materials for 12 months. It is recommended to complete the course within a month after beginning the courses for optimal learning.
  1. Course Content and Usage
  • Course Materials: All course materials, including videos, presentations, and downloadable resources, are provided for your personal, educational use only.
  • Intellectual Property: All content is the intellectual property of Clinical Concepts in Obstetrics, LLC and may not be shared, copied, or distributed without explicit permission.
  • Prohibited Actions: Sharing your login credentials, distributing course materials, or using the content for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
  1. Technical Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements: A stable internet connection and an updated web browser are required to access the course materials.
  1. Assessments and Certification
  • Assessments: The Foundations and Advanced Concepts Courses each include an exam at the beginning and end of the course to assess your understanding.  A passing score is not required for a certificate of completion or for continuing education credits to be awarded.
  1. Refund Policy
  • Eligibility: Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of enrollment. Refunds will not be processed if more than 1 lesson completed.
  1. Privacy and Data Protection
  • Data Collection: We collect personal information necessary for enrollment and course administration.
  • Data Usage: Your data will be used solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services.
  • Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your personal data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • No Guarantees: While we strive to provide high-quality educational content, we do not guarantee specific results or outcomes.
  • Liability: Clinical Concepts in Obstetrics, LLC is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of our courses.
  1. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Modifications: We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Notice of significant changes will be provided through the course platform.

Target Audience 

  • This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives and other healthcare professionals engaged in the care of pregnant and postpartum patients with high-risk conditions or who are critically ill.

 Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Summarize the physiologic changes of pregnancy
  • Recognize the obstetric patient who is or becoming high-risk or critically ill
  • Explain the pathophysiology of common disease states during pregnancy
  • Illustrate how team skills are utilized during obstetric emergencies
  • Formulate a strategy to improve team performance during obstetric emergencies
