The Advanced Concepts in Critical Care Obstetrics course builds upon the essential knowledge provided in the Foundations course, diving deeper into complex clinical conditions and advanced physiologic principles.

While Foundations introduces the core concepts of recognizing and responding to critically ill pregnant and postpartum patients, Advanced Concepts focuses on the management of these patients—offering in-depth content on invasive monitoring, advanced resuscitation techniques, disease-specific care strategies, and team performance optimization.

It’s highly recommended, but not required. 

The Foundations course provides essential baseline knowledge in critical care obstetrics—ideal for those who are new to managing high-risk obstetric patients or want to strengthen their understanding of early recognition and response. Many learners find that completing the Foundations course first enhances their confidence and maximizes their learning in this more advanced course.

Yes. Earn 15 hours of CEU/Category 1 CME credits.
